We are Kaila Gilley, a teacher in Norman, and Liz Zumpe, a professor in Tulsa. We share a passion for teacher-driven collaborative inquiry and share a background as educators experienced in methods of continuous improvement.
Due to generous support from the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, NourishED is thrilled to offer a stipend of $575 to each participating educator.
To be eligible for NourishED and receive the stipend, educators are expected to:
a. Be a currently practicing PK-12 public school teacher in Oklahoma
b. Attend at least 80% of our virtual gatherings beginning on...
c. Try out your self-selected improvement initiatives in between our meetings, and collect/create artifacts from your work that you will select to share at NourishED sessions (e.g., student work or assessments, interviews/surveys, curriculum, etc).
d. Create and present about your improvement project during our "Founding Cohort Colloquium" presentation showcase during the final Spring meeting.
e. Participate in the brief data collection needed to assess the impact and progress of our program, such as: pre/post surveys, short meeting feedback forms, and informal interviews with us.
Stipends will be paid out at the end of the Spring 2026 meeting series.
That's up to you! It'll depend on your needs, problems of practice, and ideas. We will also offer our ideas where they might be helpful.
We are currently recruiting for the first cohort for a weekday night 60-90 minute virtual session that will be held 7-8:30pm on the following Tuesdays:
